But you are only half blood related.
I have 7 brothers, 3 have a different Mother than 4 of us, and we all have the same Father but, never has one of them called the other, a half brother. And all of them call me their sister. We even forbid our Mothers from saying we're half brother and sister. |

Technically you are called a half sister because you only share one half of the married couple as your biological parent but hopefully you are treated as a regular sister by everyone. |

The reason they're called "half" is because you and your sister and brother only share the same blood as your father. That is one half of the mother/father team.
They got their other half of their blood from their mother. Like you, you got the other half of your parents blood from YOUR mother.
See, none of you share the blood of both mother AND father so.....The blood is devided...Half from mother, half from father.
You BOTH share the same blood as your father, making the blood line cut in HALF.

Considering that your parents as a single entity is only half the same as their parents, that makes them to you half-sisters and half-brothers. But in your heart if you consider them as brothers and sisters it's okay too... sometimes it's all about feelings! |
