If you filed for child support and it's been unpaid, there should be no limitations set on when you can collect.
Here's what the Georgia site says about enforcement:
"The Office of Child Support Services has many administrative enforcement actions available including automatic wage withholding, drivers and professional license suspension, tax refund and lottery intercept, referral to credit bureaus and collection agencies. Contempt actions are usually taken when administrative enforcement actions have failed. The agent assigned to your case makes the decision regarding which enforcement tools to use." |

No, I think you can only collect if the child is under age 18 and still living at home. |

I don't believe you can. However, the child herself can sue dad for past court ordered child support, you cannot.
You can call an Attorney in your state and ask them what the procedure would be if your daughter would want to sue for those back payments.
You can get onto the internet and look into your states, family law codes also, and look up child support. I would punch in keywords such as...........collecting past child support, child support, unpaid, adult child,....things like that and see what comes up. |

Call the local Bar Association and ask for the name of a family law attorney who gives free or low cost consultations. With luck they will guide you through getting hold of the department that handles collections on child support. It helps if you have the address and workplace of the father. (Obviously.) Good luck! |

I am pretty sure back child support can still be collected as long as the support order was in effect. My ex is still paying back support on his 3 kids all who are over 21. |

Bad reason. That's not what child support is for. Shame on you. |

You can collect back child support if the order was granted before the child finished college. So if the order was granted while the child was say 10 and you now want to collect you can as long as there was judgment. If you just got a order, you can collect until the child graduates from college. |

it depends on the state's child support laws. in the state in which i live, yes, you can seek back support because the money, even if uncollected, is owed to you. no, the child cannot collect that support... the money is due to the custodial parent, not the child. upon the age of majority, the child can sue the non-custodial parent for assistance with college costs, beyond the previously ordered child support. again, this is all in my state.
so, the best answer to your question is going to be found by talking to a lawyer in the state in which the child support order was filed. |
