Can I use my left over $.41 stamps even when the rate increases to $.42?
I am confused..If i bought them for $.41 and the rate increases, are the old stamps automatically null and void? or can they still be used to mail a letter..and I just have to pay $.42 for any future stamp purchases?
Do your stamps actually say 41 cents on them? Or do they say FOREVER? If they say FOREVER then you can just use them any time, even if the price goes up to $.98 If they say 41 then you will have to buy some $.01 stamps to make up the difference, you can get them at the post office and you don't have to buy them by the book, you can just buy as many as you need.

If your 41 cent stamps are FOREVER stamps (it should say forever on the stamp), then they are good forever, regardless of any price increase.
ask alot
no, i think you have to use 2 stamps on 1

you still can use your old stamp ( 41 cents ) plus additional 1 cent stamp with it

Once the rate changes, the stamps you already have are now only partial postage. You will need to buy the stamps the P O issues that make up the difference.

ADD A $ 0.1 STAMP AND YOU WILL BE GOOD TO GO . BY THE WAY DOES THE STAMP SAY " FOREVER " ? IF SO , YOU CAN USE THOSE AS LONG AS YOU HAVE THEM .
Panda
yes you can use the .41 stamps, just buy some .01 stamps from the post office and stick one on along with it. .41 + .01 = .42

Just use them with 1 cent stamps

Sure you can just go buy a $0.1 cent stamp and then you will have the 42. You can also try and see if the letter go to where ever with the 41 cent stamp without the extra penny. The worst that will happen is that the post office will send it back to you.

You have to purchase one cent stamps once the rate increase goes into affect!
