I am wanting to earn my degree in html coding and web design and have found the school of my choice, but since this is an on-line school I don't qualify for pell grants or most of the scholarships I was able to find. I am only needing help with getting the money needed to replace my computer as the one I have is too old and outdated to handle any systems past 98se and the on-line school has programs that require XP.

The computer that I found only costs around $500 to $600 dollars, but that's my whole paycheck right there so I can't afford it.

Can any of you give me websites, numbers, programs, organizations, or anything else that I can contact for help?

I have to go through an on-line school for my education and degree because of many reasons. One being I am expecting to be moving pretty soon as I'll be marrying a soldier if all goes well with his current assignment orders. On-line schooling allows me to continue school from any location.

I actually have been trying to sell some of my things to help raise money for whatever I can get for them, but can't seem to find any buyers.

The stuff I have up for sale is mostly collectors items and I'm not even demanding their value by any means so I don't know why I can't sell any of it, but until I do I obviously can't count on those funds for help. lol

Also, to make an extra note of this (because some I think missunderstood), my soldier is NOT my husband yet. We have to wait and see how his current orders turn out before we'll know if we can get married within the year as he may be ending up in Iraq soon.

Thanks for all these ideas though. I have seen a few here state ways to get computers for less (around $200). Can anyone help me get more information on that? I don't know where to start my search for those. I only need basic windows package (microsoft office, paint program, etc.) and the XP windows edition.
