If you have the funds in your account to cover the check you can cash it, if not you can deposit it and wait for the funds to clear. Or, you can go to a check cashing place and let them rip you off on fees and percentages. |

Yes you can cash it. Depending on your current standings with your present bank they may put a hold on the funds until the check clears. |

Your bank should be able to negotiate the check. The bank has the right to hold the funds in your account until the check clears. The Federal Reserve clears all checks across the country, so you can go ahead and cash the check. If the check fails to clear, then you will need to talk to the issuing organization back in Ohio. |

As long as the bank in Ohio is legitimate, your bank will cash it. I wouldn't count on a check cashing place to cash it for you, though. |

It depends on the bank. Some will put a hold on it. Some will make sure that u have at least that amount in your account before they cash it. Best thing to do is call your bank to find out their proceedures. |

You can deposit it, wait the 5-10 days for it to clear, and then use the money, but no one is going to cash it for you. |

If you have a bank account, you can take your check to your bank. It does not matter if the bank on which the check is drawn is not in your state. However, there is a possibility that they will not be able to cash the check and make you deposit it. Also, it is possible that they could put a hold on the check, delaying the availability of funds. At any rate, the check should be negotiable. Just take it to your bank and see. |
