You can do many chores for people and they will pay you. You are limited as to how much you can lift and carry and how many hours you can work. My suggestion is make up a flier saying you will do odd jobs for so much money ,put your name & phone number on the flier and get it to every building in your neighborhood. |

I'm sure you have to be 18 to be employed. At 13 you really can't do much because of child labor laws. You'll have to wait a few years, however you may want to look into doing a junior camp counselor sort of thing. That's the type of job that in a few years of experience, you may get "promoted" to become a camp counselor (when you're of age). |

Make your own job like, packing bags at a supermarket, teach yourself how to fix bikes for the summer, learn how to clean lawns, do you know how to paint a wall? wash cars? There's always something you can learn how to do. |

Tell your neighbors you'll walk their dog for pay. But you have to learn about dogs and how to walk them. |

Make a flyer and place it in your neighbors' mailboxes. On the flyer include your name, address, and phone. List the jobs/chores you'd be willing to help them with and state your rate (ex. $8/hr). |

I used to babysit at 13.
Call your local red cross if you're in an area with red cross, or your local fire/rescue at their non-emergency line and see if they train 13 year olds in safety for babysitters. |

go around and ask neighbors if they need someone to mow grass, clean garage, plant flowers, rake leaves, and maybe with older people vaccum or maybe help clean their house for a few extra dollars |

I live in Florida and i don't think real businesses can hire someone under 14. If you have any friends (parents of your friends) that need help doing things like cleaning that could work. You could try babysitting or mowing lawns. All you have to do is think of something you can do for people around your neighborhood. |

13 is a bit young to "NEED" a job, but I'm sure its for a good cause. Try following what the others mentioned and babysit. |

I hope you mean that you want a job during after school hours. That part of your question about "what everyone can do" should let you know that education and skill will give you a lot more options down the road. No matter how much money you need at 13, it's nothing like what you will need at 23, 33, 43, 53, 63... . It will be much harder down the road if you don't stay in school. For jobs now, diversify, do whatever. Babysit, wash cars, mow lawns, shovel snow, walk dogs. Stay out of homes of strangers. Make sure your parents know where you are at all times. If an offer sounds too good to be true, it is, run away. |
