Not at all!! Its a martial art and is popular in Korea but you can obviously learn it without happen to learn korea. Just find an instructor who speaks english or your language...All the best!! |

No. You can take Tae Kwan Do where you live and in the language you speak. At least this is the case here (Denmark). |

If this were true, the places that offer Tae Kwan Do would be OUT OF BUSINESS IN NO TIME, because the number of Koreans available, or wants to take lessons wouldn't be enough to sustain their business. |

No. Actually ,taekwondo is already a part of the Asian Games, if im not mistaken. There are also international taekwondo federations/groups with members all over the world, i.e. of different nationalities. |

Anyone can do any of the martial arts including Tae Kwan Do. Some of the best exponents of theses arts are from western countries. Here in New Zealand, my son, who is 14, does Seido karate. He is a black belt (shodan). His teacher is the third highest ranking Seido black belt in the world. Of the four highest ranking black belts, two are in New Zealand. Check your local telephone or sports directories for the address/phone number of a local Tae Kwan Do training centre. Go along to see them or call them; you will be welcomed with open arms. They hold classes in the language of your country, but many of the expressions/descriptions of the movements will be in Korean. However, you will learn all of these as you learn the art. Its not difficult. |
