Check (full deposit) - Some banks will allow this. Usually, if you're depositing a check into another person's account, you will need that person there with you. Check (partial deposit) - Some banks will allow this. For this type of transaction, you WILL need the person present because you're getting some cash back. There might be some fee attached to this type of transaction as well, depending on the bank. Also, make sure to have some ID present and the person will have to sign the back of the check stating that you surrendered the check over to the account holder and he in turn is doing the transactions for you.

Yes, as long as you have their account number and are not asking for any money back. My father deposits money in my grandson's account periodically. However, they do not like you to do a direct deposit from your paycheck to someone else's account in case there is a problem or dispute. It is not your account so you wouldn't have access to fix it or get the money back. |
