Yes you can purchase just one [single] postage stamp at the PO here in UK. Just stand in the queue [inline] and when you get to the counter ask for one 1st or 2nd class postage stamp.
If you buy UK postage stamps at a stationers, they will only sell you a small book of stamps. Likewise if you buy from a PO stamp machine - 1st or 2nd class small book of stamps only.
You buy single postage stamps at any UK PO counter. |

My son sent two birthday cards & asked at the post office for 2 first class staps & handed over the money & cards.When the cards were delivered my sister had to pay £1.31 on each card.When she looked closely the stamps on the envelope were 1p not 1st class,what should she do as they were posted in Atherstone nr Liecester & she lives in Kent |
