I think you're going to get scammed....
The check that you got might be a fake check.
Make sure that the check clears the bank before you give the car to anyone... ESPECIALLY if you're supposed to use some of your own money to pay for transport.
Do you make a check out to ANYONE before you are certain that the check you received has cleared and is good.
Tell your bank that you are concerned that the check you have might not be good, and ask them how long it will take for the check to clear.
Good luck. |

You are just about to be scammed my friend.
The cheque will clear and 3-6 months down the line it will be shown to be stolen or duplicated and you will lose your car and £3500.
Cash only! |

This definitely sounds like a scam to me. Call off the deal and resell your car or you will lose out.
This certainly doesn't sound ligit. |

Would not risk whether it is a scam or genuine either make sure cheque clears fully before you part with car or ask for cash instead of cheque see his reaction to that or forget altogether dont be literally taken for a ride either way mate lol take care thank you |

Either wait until the cheque has cleared before releasing the vehicle or insist on a bankers draft. Sounds like a scam.
Good luck |

Crispy bacon, eggs and tomatoes!

No doubt you'll know the answer now or very soon!
What does "loot" mean in this context?
Hold onto the car to see if/when the cheque clears - which I, like you, fear it will not.
I would like to hear the end of this "odd" tale?
Good luck!!! |

Bank the cheque and see if it clears. That will be your first clue. |
