Awww, I am sorry to hear you are having troubles. I would not suggest moving unless you already have a job lined up. Jobs are hard to come by no matter where you are. Hold your head high and be proud of that degree!
Check Monster Jobs and HotJobs (here on yahoo) Also, you may have a local "WorkSource" program through your state that has listings from potential employers Contact your local Department of Social and Health Service (DSHS - Welfare office) They are not only there to hand out money to the needy. They have a lot of useful resources!
I wish you the best and I hope for happier days to come your way! |

You should move to the South if you want a job. Ever since Hurricane Katrina, there are tons of job openings! I live in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and there are pages of job openings for down here. I hope that this might cheer you up. If not keep searching. There are a lot of jobs out there. |

Couple of my friends that went to college had a hard time getting jobs also. Most companies now are doing everything they can to cut expenses wherever they can. I did work with a company that used information consultants from time to time. It was a sand and gravel river dredging operation that also messed with ideas to separate gold from the sand. That was about 15 years ago and the consultant charged $100 per question. If you are going to sell your services to a company then you are going to have to show them that you can save them money in some shape or form. I know this has not helped you much but it is the best I can do - good luck |

well... where do you live now?
and don't worry. it happens to the best of us. you just have to be optimistic and not give up. there are more jobs in uprising cities like atlanta, if there are absolutely no jobs that you can find where you are. |

just keep pluggin' away...i had the same problem, but you know what? every time you get turned down, it's one more shitty job that you didn't have to do! I thought i missed a relly good job and was pissed, but now i have a really awesome job that pays twice as much, and i love it! You'll find it, just keep looking. good luck! |

I can give you some advice. I recently moved to the pacific northwest from the southwest and it was the best thing I ever did. I was losing my job to the illegals for cheap wages and was being discriminated in other job for being deaf. So I left. Now I have a better job with good paying wage, The cost of living is cheaper and jobs are plenty.
I think you would be happier up in Central Oregon.
Did this cheer you up?? I hope it did.

Everyone should have the opportunity to work, to find out themselves how much work sucks. 90% of people hate their jobs and/or are stuck in dead end jobs, where their future is not what they want nor are their abilities being used.
If your not working, determine to find the job that you want, one that you will enjoy and be able to use your ability - which most times means being self employed. Find a need and fulfill it.
Two ideas for anyone are a credit ratings counselor - where you help people who have good credit get better credit, as mortgage rates - going from fair to really good credit score can save people hundreds of thousands of dollars on their mortgage - and another ides is product evaluation - evaluating the purchases of items from toasters to automobiles for clients who need the help.
All in all what is worse than not working - working in a dead end job for an asshole boss and at something you do not enjoy. |
