honestly it depends. sometimes actors will take a deal where they get a contract with less money but they get a backend deal meaning if the movie does well they get say 3 % of the profit. If they sign with a major studio they just sign a contract and make a certain amount, say about 20 million for Tom Cruise for one film. sometimes actors also produce films and shart in the profit with the studios it just depends on how the contract is set up. |

They get paid by job. Not Salary or Wage.
Movie actors get a straight fee for acting in the movie. (Some obviously will get %s if they are lucky)
TV actors usually get paid by episode. |

They get paid by the episode(s) or movie(s) they make, the amount in which they get paid is determined by how good, and how long they have been doing it. the better and more flexible you are to change and adapt to different roles will ensure you more work. Also your looks is 80% of your success as well in acting, No one wants to see an ugly person on screen. |

Yeah; I think they do get an hourly salary. I hear it’s like $9.25 per hour. That’s like more than min. wage. No wonder their so rich. |

Agents negotiate the pay, its usually by the picture and it can be a flat fee or royalties or a combination of both. Extras work for scale. |

~~They do both. For most TV shows, it's a contract rate for the stars.
For commercials (my son has done 2) and he was paid hourly.
Then for movies they agree to a set amount (which I guess could be considered salary), and sometimes if they are famous enough stars, then can get even a percentage of the gross.~~ |

It depends on what acting position. If you're an extra like "the crowd, one-scene-actor, or just a bystander" then you'll more than likely get paid by the hour, or salary. Depending on how wide your role is. But big-time actors get paid by a contract and percentage. |

It depends on the postion that a person takes like an extra or a main role and they get paid either daily or by contract say 200,000 to act in the movie. But the movie can take 2 years to film and still it is only the 200,000. Or an extra can make nothing or 50 a day or sometimes 100 aday but that is rare.
My dad is an actor, my grandfather was one and so was my great grandfather. |
