Do individuals need to attend a college course to learn?

it depends on what you want to learn. it also depends on what interests you and what you want to do and what you want to become. but, trouble comes when sometimes, what interests you and what you want to become do not mix. for instance, you want to be a doctor but going to college does not interest you and society dictates that doctors not only go to med school but they also pass a test to show that can really practice what they studied. so in that case you might have to choose. in any case, going to college is a choice and as with any other choice, comes with consequences.

No, you can learn just about any way. If you want credits for course to verify that you have learned enough to pass a certain course, then college can do that.

It depends upon what you want to learn. Certain ideas do not cross well in any other format than through being taught by a person. College is really the giant instruction manual of our society. Most people get by just fine without reading the instructions first anyway. You do not need college to learn, but college can help you avoid making other peoples mistakes by showing you the mistakes others have already made in the past.

Now for business applications, I would strongly recommend college. I know too many business owners who have read books but not had a framework to put the books in, and so have run into trouble. I remember a conversation with a physicist. He was telling of his conversation with another physicist. He owned his own business and looked at an accounting book. He realized how "easy" this was and so decided to do it himself. The IRS penalty was $72,000. Any CPA could have told him that he was wrong, but it was so easy and he had a PhD in physics, so he didn't need help. Among the disciplines, accounting isn't hard as a concept, but the specific application can require training and experience. The second reason accountants are valuable is that their business is to account for your money while your business may be to sell shoes. Time you spend accounting for things is time you don't sell shoes.

Do you need college to learn, except for certain higher end topics I would say no. But it depends upon what you want to learn. Would you want a physician to perform cranial surgery on you without having attended medical school, but having read the book?

Depends on what you are trying to learn. You can learn most things on your own by reading and studying. But the class atmosphere certainly helps. For example, science labs. Most people do not have Bunsen burners and beakers at home. So, yes, some things you need to learn in class.

Not really,learning is something acquired right from your parents when still young and other many things you meet in your life time,going to college only improves on what you already know or what u always here about.
