I don't know about "normality", but I think that some people are certainly more "whole" than others. To me, that signifies what a "normal" person would be. Whole, integrated, not split in motives or purposes. A better word might be "singleminded". |

It is appalling. There were days back around 1900, before the Great Depression when it was considered to be the Age of Reason and philosophy was often the topic at group formations. I was not living then and I value technology too much for thinking a return-to-the-good-old-days is a wise choice. However, when using or employing the word NORMAL you have to place matters in the context of the population and the norms of present society in general. I'm restraining an urge to puke. You know, if you are normal then you are minimally neurotic mingling amidst majority psychotic: Normal these days is being F'd in the brain. Think about it. |

There is no such thing as a normal person. You can only determine what you think is normal by judging ones character against your own character. Let's face it, we all think that ourselves alone are normal and everyone else is abnormal because they don't think the same as we do. Wouldn't be very interesting would it, if everyone thought the same way? It is better to live your life in a way that is as normal to you as possible, but be open to other peoples existence and be non-judgemental because to them their life is as normal to them as yours is to you. |
