Pigs are omnivores, they'll eat pretty much anything. Still their diet is mainly plant based as they aren't hunters.
As I understand it, if they were complete herbivores they would have been affected by BSE (md cow disease) along their bovine friends. BSE apparently being caused to an extent by feeding herbivores meet based fodder. |
