Yes they do. You can request to not have them put on if you would like. For my mother-in-laws funeral we told them that we did not bring a bra ( they told us to bring one) Because she never wore one in her life. You can request anything. Although who will look underneath her clothing to see if they put them on???

I'll bet they do. A funeral is supposed to offer as much dignity and respect to the deceased as possible. So I'm sure they give them proper under garments simply out of reverence. Also because if they ever came back from the dead, no one likes a naked zombie.
