I don't believe in a heaven or hell where people live again. I don't believe in reincarnation, where we live many lives.
I believe in two types of "life after death".
One (and the most realistic) is that the life we have after death is in the memory of people who we leave behind or in any lasting effect we had in this world while we were alive (such as creating a painting, writing a book or a poem, building a bridge). The most indestructable way we have life after death is through procreation. We leave not only an imprint of our genetic make up in our children, but also learned traits and behaviors. Through our children, some part of us continues to live on.
The second type of life after death that I believe in comes from the energy/electricity that our body releases back into the world when we die. ( A normal heart beat is initiated by a small pulse of electric current...that is a fact) When that electricity is released, I believe it becomes part of the universal energy, and may then be used by another life. I wonder if that is the SOUL?? That is the only thing scientifically proven to live after a person dies. What I find scary is that nuclear explosions KILL ELECTRICITY. I wonder if that means it KILLS SOULS? |

LIFE:
a : the quality that distinguishes a vital and functional being from a dead body
b : a principle or force that is considered to underlie the distinctive quality of animate beings
c : an organismic state characterized by capacity for metabolism, growth, reaction to stimuli, and reproduction
2 a : the sequence of physical and mental experiences that make up the existence of an individual
b : one or more aspects of the process of living
Now, with that said - I think there may be some form of continued existance. Too many stories of contacts from "the other side" to easily dismiss. |
