I believe that people have worshipped gods and goddesses before, and I believe that the Virgin Mary is put up as a "replacement" to the goddess figure for those people back in the early part of AD (as compared to BC) that worshipped a goddess figure. |

Well, it depends all on how you mean this question. Do I believe in one God...Christian, Muslim or what ever....no. Do I believe in pagan gods and goddesses?....yes.
The pre-Christianity world and religions made sense. They followed the cycles of nature and worshipped the solstices, eclipses, seasons. It was a belief in nature. It was also very balanced, male and female alike. Their thinking is more concrete to me than some book that a bunch of people wrote with rules on how to live your life. Ancient paganism is more about the inner person, there aren't rules to follow. This is a religion that can be almost whatever you want.
Those are just my opinions though. I'm in no way trying to offend other religions. I really believe "to each his own". Everyone should just allow other beliefs and religions to happen around them and not get angry if it's not the same as theirs. |
