No one can answer that question with absolute assurance. Research suggests that dreams do not have meaning; clinical experience suggests they do. At the very least, the value of dream interpretation lies in the opportunity for both dreamer and interpreter to "free associate" and find meaning in whatever material the dream suggests. "Playing" with the topic of the dream is almost always worthwhile. |

Yes. I once dreamed I was driving a blue car and I crashed it. I do not own a blue car so I did not worry about it. A week later I had to borrow a car because mine broke down. Well, that car I borrowed was blue and I fell asleep while driving it and crashed. From now on I will always "listen" to my dreams! |

Dreams may have meanings. Not all dreams though. Dreams are mostly sub-conscious projections of our thoughts, beliefs etc. and may sometime may throw light on the intricate psychological aspects of a person. |

Jungian psychology gives the most elaborate evidence that they do. Apart from that, psychiatry suggests there are dreams, so-called "avatars of psychosis" that serve as an "alert" of sorts, suggesting that a person might be at risk of developing a mental disorder. Freud believed that our dreams 'release' our wishes and fears that we don't approve of and therefore would like to put under "censorship" - and little kids who haven't yet developed the inner censor have "transparent" dreams in which their wishes and fears are not "encrypted". Certain mind-body practices as well as esoteric branches of religions suggest that you can have dreams that serve as tests of sorts, and your progress depends on how well you perform in them. I suppose, this should witness against the "dreams are just randomly generated gibberish" stereotype, but then again, dreams cannot really be decyphered directly, like "i saw A, so B and/or C is likely to happen". They make sense, but only to the dreamer him/herself - and different techniques can only help get in touch with it. |

dreams are from our unresolved issues & often go deep - a dream book can help with the symbols sometimes if you are ready to resolve that particular issue |

When you dream it is your souls time to take over and communicate with you while your body is at rest. Its up to you to decipher what each dream means. |
