With all of the homeless in our country, and all the crime, teen pregnancies, and drop outs or being disabled and receiving benefits from the state but its not even enough to survive and make ends meet and then meeting there soul mate and wish to marry them, finding out that the benefits will be shut off or if ur mate is also disabled you both will lose 300$ of your benefits every month because that’s what the Government says. With all of these things in our Nation, & all the Poverty that goes on do you think that our Government is making our Nation a joke? Think about this again. What if a member of your family was sent off to fight the war over seas, while they are gone fighting for there life & there Country, there beloved Country is talking about them saying that our Soldiers are too young to be over there and they are not doing there job. How do u feel about the Country that you live in? What makes our country such a wonderful place. Please explain why you believe what u believe. |

The U.S. is not above the social problems taht plague every nation. This is not a perfect place but there are much worse places around the world otherwise so many would not be both legally and illegally coming here.
Think about this, in some countries if you made your public statement as you did, you could be dragged from your home and executed, or worse. In some places innocent people are hacked to death with machetes because they are of a different tribe. In some places the poor and disabled cannot even beg enough money to feed themselves and babies die from simple illnesses. In some places women must always hide their face in public or risk acid being thrown in their face for simply speaking to a strange man. Appreciate what we do have. |

Yes,i do agree that this great nation of ours is nothing but a laughing joke.Homeless people walk around the streets everyday in this country,even if it's snowing or raining.They don't have a place they can call home,and alot of them eat out of garbage barrels,but yet this great nation of ours don't care.It's not so much the people of this nation,but the goverment that runs this nation.They don't care about anyone,they only care about themselves.There's crime everywhere,shooting,gangbangers,rapes,an... murders,why.Alot has to do with drugs.You have people just trying to survire the best way they know how.But this goverment is just not happy with what there doing so they have to make it a little harder for the next person.It's almost like a game to them to see who can win,not the people.but the goverment.I have to work full-time my husband collects disabilty from SS.He can't get full benefits unless he is NOT living with me.We're married.We don't get food stamps I pay for me and my husband medical and dental insurance threw my job.His So-called Benefits that he receives once a month doesn't even put a dent into my monthly rent.Food is so expensive I don't have any idea how families that have alot of mouths to feed how they do it.then you have this....war.It's not that the soldiers are not doing there job,cuz they are but why fight with a country that doesn't give a S**t about mankind.All they do is fight with each other,this war is not our problem it's theirs.I feel it time for the Soldiers to come home,Stop wasting America's hard earn money on a country that doesn't want us there.Spend the money here in our country AMERICA.Then all of our problems would be solved.There would be jobs,housing, people would be able to make ends me,cuz America would be that great nation again....forever..We need a new President and we need him....soon.Or this Once great Nation will be no more. |

The US is not a joke. I think you have been overwhelmed by the news, and have not taken a good hard look around you. The US has the greatest level of general wealth ever achieved in the history of the world. More people live in freedom and prosperity in the US than anywhere else. Why do you think that immigrants - legal and otherwise - are knocking down our doors to get in? Are there THAT many stupid, misled people in the world? I think not. You would understand more if you had a job in which you traveled the world, especially the Third World, like I do. I HAVE seen REAL poverty and hopelessness - it is not a pretty sight, and it makes me glad to be a citizen of the USA.
It's too bad that you and your intended spouse will lose money that is given to you by the government, but you ought to realize that there are MANY countries in the world where the government would not give you any money at all, no matter how disabled you are. |

I have several family members in Iraq, I have to except that they all chose the military and they all knew, excepted and swore to uphold the Commander and Chief, regardless of who it is.. There are many things wrong in our country, but our leaders, Rep. or Dem., cannot change much unless the American people stop putting their personal agenda before the betterment of the nation. We don't always have to agree, but if a matter is best, for the overall good of the nation, then we should unite. God has an agenda for America and Her people. Our nation won't recover unless God is made Lord of this country again ! |

well, in America you have the right to be a failure. If you do not get the education you need, or work hard enough, you will not be employed. There is no bill of right or amendment that states you "deserve" a job. if you are counting on benefits to support you, keep in mind that a benefit is not a check issued from the government, it is money taken from a hard working person through taxation, then redistributed to someone who has not earned it. so if you want more money from your benefits, explain to me why i should work harder to support you. as for our wonderful fighting men and women, they belong to an all volunteer force, and have the respect of everyone in this country who has any morals or values. |
