Yes, Amor Ministries builds homes for free for Mexican families in Tijuana, Tecate and Juarez. When about 12 people give $150, it is enough to buy all the materials to build a house in Mexico. Then either the same people, or other volunteers, go to Mexico and assemble the house. |

choose a few charities and then select an annual amount to give to them... like my dad always says, everyone can tell you to spare $5 or $10 a year, but if 10,000 groups come to you each year and ask for even $5, think about how much total money that would be... I know he is only exaggerating, but follow his advice rationally... |

I support groups that are close to me -- my kid's schools, church, the salvation army and sometimes other things like Habitat for Humanity, Boy Scouts or the Girl scouts. I sometimes wish I could give to help some organizations that help in third world countries. That's one reason why I like the salvationa army they help in 110 countries -- many third world. |
