It's not for me, but I personally can see many many cases of bad parents and bad conditions that might've benefitted from an abortion. I would never judge someone for having an abortion when it's actually the best thing you can do for that child. Even giving it up is iffy...you don't know what kind of home that child will end up in, let alone if they'll ever be adopted to begin with. |

Every child has the right to being wanted, loved and cared for. If circumstances are such that these things are impossible, abortion is a better option than a life of unhappiness and want. |

Once every child is a wanted child, then possibly it might be something to discourage legally.
That, ofcourse, would require a massive social change: more birth control options available to everyone, a fatherhood movement, undetectable birth control technologies for men...
I would personally hate to be faced with the choice, and had the condom/backup methods not worked in college, I would have definitely terminated. |

No one can know the circumstances unless they have been in that situation. So unless you have been there I dont think you should be able to tell someone that they cant have an abortion.
There are all sorts of reasons for abortions. I dont think it should be used as a form of birthcontrol but if the child is a product of rape, might harm the mothers health, or is in some way deformed and not likely to live or have a productive life then in my mind it is acceptable. |

Your question is awkward. Of course, I believe that it exists! There is plenty of evidence for that.
Do I think that it's right that a woman should kill her unborn baby because the pregnancy will be inconvenient in her life? She's not God, so of course not.
For those who say that every child should be a wanted child: shall we just round up all the unwanted children in the world and execute them? What a ridiculous argument.
There is nothing shameful about not being ready for parenthood. Women who place their babies for adoptions are committing an extremely loving act.
I have little respect for those who kill their children just because the children might get in the way of their other plans in life. Hitler had the same argument. |
