Always read every contract before signing. True, many of them are "set in stone" if you want to buy that item, rent that apartment, etc., but you definitely want to know what's in the contract before you get into it just the same. Don't just believe the salesperson, they have no responsibility to you, and after they have your money, they no longer care about you.
If a salesperson gets impatient with you reading everything, remind them that you can shop elsewhere. Also, it could be a signal that there's something in the contract they don't want you to see until later.
Once, when closing on a house, My Wife and I read the closing statement, and found a $400 error. We showed it and the contract to the agent, who corrected it. Sometimes it pays to read. |

Always read the contract and make changes where you see fit. Contracts can and should be altered and amended to properly reflect the deal you struck in making a purchase.
Oral promises are unenforceable in event of a dispute. If you get a promise that they will not put in writing, then you are dealing with dishonorable people and should deal with them appropriately, if at all.
If you have a dispute, the contract is (for the most part) the only document involved in settlement. If you're going to sign it you should know it well, and it should reflect the circumstances of your agreement.
If the sales rep is in that big hurry, then they should write a shorter contract. |

YES, you should read them! People get into all sorts of trouble by not understanding what they're signing their life away to! |

I never read it, just sign it. |

it depends on the contract I'm going to sign. If it's something I've never signed before than I read all that stuff. Sometimes it's a complete waste of time. However, one should always read contracts if you don't want to wake up in a nightmare.... |

Read it all. I found mistakes on a contract before closing on a house. Do it before hand in case they have to redo the contract. |

You should always read a contract before signing and have a lawyer review it as well |

No. You would only be the zillionth person to have signed that contract. What's the purpose? I wouldn't know what half of it meant anyway. All the seeing as hows and thereforths, .......
just a lot of legal mumbo jumbo and a waste of time.
I usually glance at it, and ask the salesperson, is there anything in here that I need to be concerned about. If there is they will tell you.
