I decided one day to read it, and only got thru a few pages before I was digusted by it. I read on how women were not to be touched when they had their periods, and how you are not to touch anything they touch when they are on their periods. I had to close the book, and move on with my life. The book is bullcrap. |

Quite an interesting question with a few good answers before mine!! i was forced to read the bible when i was a child..and now that i am an adult i do not bother.. WHY? Maybe because i have altered my faith in god..i have wondered wheather to believe in god or not now..i will not go into detail as that is not what u asked but there is just not enough proof to proove to me that there is a god out there..sorry.. |

No but I have. Intersting stories, some good moral stuff around jesus's teachings, but on the whole I didn't think much of it, and it didn't make me buy into it.
Now i have a small library about taoism instead, and i read those a lot! I identified immediately with the bountiful wisdom this philisophy has to offer in a way I never thought possible after being raised a catholic and being at odds with almost everything i was told.
I'm glad you read the bible though, too many christians, certainly in my country, claim the religion but do nothing about it nor know about half the stuff written in the bible. |

I'm not really religious, I miss out on masses, I forgot to pray the rosary, and just the same a lot of times i don't read the bible, not because I don't want to, but because I believe i can't as of the moment because of so many things that needs to be done. It's not a good attitude towards God, but that's the awful truth. But I do pick it up and read it whenever i can. |
