The older I get, the more grateful I am for the "simple things" that make life wonderful.
My grandmother would always say a prayer and say "how rich we truly are" ... Good friends, food on the table, a roof over our head, our health, etc ... and would pray for the hungry, the abandoned, the desolate, the homeless.
We seem to take our "modern comforts" for granted and moan and groan when we can't have certain luxuries.

I thank God every night for all i have i even thank hI'm for the trees and grass (that im allergic to LOL) i thank him for the clouds in the sky and the birds that chirp! So yes i feel blessed but most of all i feel blessed for my kids wish i constantly thank God for! |

I just talked about that with my hubby yesterday.He was in Kosovo/Albania/serbia as a soldier. He has seen how poor they are over there. He didnt always have a roof over his head. As it got cold (bittercold)they actually sleeped in a pile of compost(it got really warm, bad thing was they smelled kind of funky in the morning)He really appreciates a nice bed to sleep in.Over there he was just happy to have a roof and a dry floor.Not to mention eating MRE's plenty of times. |

Why is it so hard for people to believe God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life? For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. yes, we have to thank god everyday for all the good things we have. There are so many children in this world that live in a completely misery, without no sanitized water to drink, and no food for their emaciated bodies. There are so many diseases, so much war, so much bad feelings in the world.
...and this is just a 1% in that 100% of calamaties in the world. |
