Technically they should offer you up to £50.00
Have a look on the back of the card it sometimes mention it there!
But it does work if you hand in 20 cards or your own

My friend works in a bank and says he's never heard that one before. If that were true everyones friend would be handing in their mates card after they've reported it lost and be splitting the cash between them!

I have returned a bank card that was left in an ATM machine, I could have stolen their money as they left it without finalizing the transaction. The screen said "would you like another transaction?" when I got there! Scary for them! Good thing little honest me was the car behind them. I returned it to B or A...No reward! However, do you believe in karma? I do.

i haven't heard of this but their probably is a rule that they could pay up to 50.00 pound but the banks dont want to advertise it as it would encourage people to take there friends cards in, but if u go in to the bank and just say i have found a bank card belonging to a customer of yours just say i heard you pay rewards and if they say yes whip it out and if they say no just say well i left it at home but i will bring it tomorrow and after that its up 2 you what u do with it after that.

when i worked for a supermarket you got £50 for retaining a stolen card but i think that came from the company. but because you had to call a manager they used to make you split it with them!

No there is no reward. the main reason is because a reward would encourage some people to steal the cards just to hand them in to get the reward.
