They had a serious security fault which I am not going to mention here. That is why they were replaced.

Yes I do ... that ages me ...... and my first card gave me ten pound notes and if I put it back in to ask for more, it kept the card!

nice idea, although, as you have to put your card in to open the screen this would not stop skimming as the skimmer is added to the card reader (not protected by the screen)

Yes. I had one in my town for a long time. They have changed it. You still might find a few of them in some small towns in the U.S.

Oh yeah, I remember them - it all felt very 'space age'. I would think bringing them back would be a good idea. And would stop people spitting on the keys!
