I'm po' so I shop at Dollar stores alot. I just went yesterday to Dollar General for all my son's school supplies. Got everything for under $20, now that's cool. Especially since I later went to Walmart to see that 1 backpack was $20 there. I buy different sorts of things everywhere I shop, but I love the everything for a dollar stores for birthday parties as they have mylar helium balloons for $1 or regular helium balloons 2 for $1. That's also where I go for small toys for car trips or weekend stuff. The thing I don't like about Family Dollar/ General is that some things are actually more expensive there like diapers... I can't stand to pay $7 for generic diapers when I can get them at Kroger for $5. Best wishes |

Yea. My mom goes there a lot to bother genera things taht we need and like crappy toys for my brother when he goes with her but thats because he begs her. Other than that we go about once every tow weeks. |

I like it for supplies like paper towels and bathroom cleaning supplies. Also the tea light candles they stock burn just as long as Yankee candles. If you are burning scented oils this is a must! The one and only cleaning product i don't recommend is their version of Windex. You will be doing windows all day long and they will look like hell. Plus the shopping environment isn't that fun or interesting. |

i don't do family dollar or dollar general. i just don't like the atmosphere or cramped style of the stores in my area.
i go to the 99cent store and love it. i'll go get items such as carpet freshner, Ponds facial scrubs and ozarka water. and if i need small items real quick such as an extra bowl to store something such as keys or a plant...that's typicall the first place i look.
they have name brand items for a fraction of the cost. you just have to be a mindful shopper. plus i love getting their plants. |

Yes i shop at dollars stores, you can get some really good bargains there. Especially some of the stuff you pick up at hardward stores for half the price. Like paint brushes, rollers, drop clothes etc. Another item is cards, if you into sending post cards you can always get them for good prices there, also christmas decorations etc.
Its a good place to check out before you go to the major departments stores/hardware stores etc. |

Heck yeah! I get cleaning supplies, craft things, wrapping paper, snacks..... pretty much anything I need. The only thing I wish they had is stuff like fresh fruits or milk. |

My mom and I shop there alot.. I guess we basically go there because they have things that you can actually use and at an extremely cheap price.
Like we go to the 99 cent store.. and they have brand name Ozarka water bottles.. And alot of other brand name products. Like I got purse that is usually found at Target for 12 dollars for a dollar there... they have good stuff for cheap prices =D |

Unortunaely, there is no Family Dollar of Dollar General where I live, but I do shop t the Dollar Tree and Everything's a Dollar stores. The ones where I used to live were mediocre but the ones here are actually very nive. I get my ponytail holders and hairpieces there (I get a lot more for a lot less than at Wal Mart even) I buy my brushes and combs there, wrapping paper, coloring books for the kids I babysit, stickers, novelty toys, summer water toys, candle holders, decorative towels for my kitchen. Sometimes they have closeouts from other stores so they will get name brand stuff- My nephew was very much into Finding Nemo , so last Christmas I got him a handful of Finding Nemo trinkets, (a wallet, a worbook, a towel and some other little things) to go with his big present. |

Here we have "Dollar Tree" its a huge place.
Their makeup and food sucks, I wouldnt buy any of that but I go in for random small items. I go there for cleaning products and party stuff & holiday decorations. |

Yep, I do. I mostly buy my doggie toys there, some plastics you can't seem to find anywhere else. I have purchased reading glasses and bowls, even stationary and word searches. I like it because I like to see what I can get for a measly dollar these days and sometimes you can get really great deals there on stuff you would pay triple the price for anywhere else. Oh, and at Christmas, dollar stores have great stocking stuffers. Thanks for asking!!! |

I am going today. They are good for cheap air freshners, fake jewelry, small decorations for the house. I found one that has three pack of socks for a dollar. and they are nice and thick sweat socks. |

Yeah, I pick stuff up at the $1 store sometimes. Cleaning products, night lights, that kind of mess. Sometimes you can find really weird stuff, like discontinued snacks or unicorn statues. |
