I don't see anything inappropriate with your answer. It seems fine to me. If I were you I would dispute the "violation" charge. I've seen some answers on yahoo answers that are super inappropriate but your answer seem fine and normal to me.

I have also been the target of a violation - because I said, quote, "That answer is right, vote for it." The category - other. No comments.
Anyone can send a violation report, it seems to go directly from the sender to the alleged-violator (so make sure you explain it well).
But you can complain about being harassed, you can send an e-mail to Yahoo customer report. I did that. Of course, I haven't heard back, but at least I'm on record. I think... |

Whether you like it or not, Yahoo! Answers is more about censorship than it is about the freedom of the flow of information. If the answer that clutter gave was true, then most of the answers would be pulled. The attempt by Yahoo! to govern the natural freedom of internet information is laughable. Nice try tho, yahoo, nice try. |

Is there an appeal process? I noticed that when I click on a lot of member ids it says they are no longer members. I think a lot have been expeled. I wondered what was going on.

Don't feel bad, some turdface reported me for answering "yes" to his question. I contacted Yahoo and told them if yes was a violation, then the question itself must have been a violation. They removed the question, and I assume gave t.f. a violation. I suggest you try the same. The t.f. started reporting every answer I submitted, and Yahoo finally deleted his account. STAND UP FOR YOURSELF, don't let some petty jerk get away with this. A forum such as this should not be censored so easily. |

you were not answering a question , you were stating a opinion which is chat room material, and yes it is a violation . because it falls under " Not a question or answer". your statement is clearly just that . Not an answer to a question .what was the question? it could have been very well that the question was not an appropriate question.... all i know is this . this site is not a chat service or forum. and people are trying to turn it into that . only answer questions that are actually "questions". that's all i can tell you . and refrain from chat material. |
