My college roommate was a complete stranger but we became great friends. We still keep in touch even though it's been 27 years ago that we went to college together. Rooming with a friend can be harmful to your friendship. Besides, one of the benefits of living on campus is to meet new people and if you live with a friend, you tend to stick with them instead of getting out there and making additional friends. |

complete stranger unless you've known that friend for a long time and already know their annoying habits there is a good chance living together can ruin a fragile friendship, but if it is a strong one, go for it!
Also if it turns out you want to start fresh, an make the 'real you' shine.. its easier to start over with someone who never knew the 'old' you. |

I was a roomate in college with a good friend from highschool and that turned into a freaking nightmare. I was a roomate with a few strangers in the army and only one was a wack job, the others were cool, and one even turned out to be one of my best friends. So, it's really a luck of the draw type thing. And that's only my opinion so you do what you wanna do.. |
