All parents would like their kids to be A and B students. However, what we really want is for our kids to just do their best!! I'm sure your parents are alright with your c's but, they know that you can do better, so they try to push you to do so. But, as long as your not failing and your giving it 100% of what you have, don't worry! Just always do your best!! ;0)
Good luck and keep your head up!!! |

Not all kids CAN have straight As or even Bs. Some kids try their hardest and still only come up with Cs and Ds. It's unrealistic to demand a child has straight As unless you know that they are capable of it. I think as long as the child tries their hardest then the parent should be proud of them. |

Your parents do not beleive ever kids should have A's (even though they may have said that). What they do want is only the BEST for you... they don't want you to settle for anything less than the best... why sacrifice your values? don't you deserve the best? If not.. then what's the point? Go out there and kick ***! Get those A's... they aren't tough to get... just takes a little work. You're not affraid of a little work are you? Or are you a typical lazy kid nowadays? |

It's hard to answer that. I wouldn't say that kids shouldn't worry about a's and b's, and should only aim for c's. I think all kids should try to aim for their best - and the best (unfortunately, in our grade-driven education system) is an a.
If a kid tries his very best and gets a c nobody should be disappointed. If a kid tries half-heartedly and gets a c, that's when it's a waste of ability. |

Not every kid CAN have As and Bs. But if you know the kid has the potential, then YES! |

A's and B's for everyone is an impossible task. All that should be asked of a child is that they do the best they can with the abilities they were endowed . |

as long as you learn that is what is important |

Parents must do their best and set high expectations but also must realize that whereas all cannot be straight a students, they can become straight a students of life. remember this. If every student in the worl got stright as all the time , then theres no point to the ttest just as in life , it would seem rediculous for the blind to lead the blind. Good luck and happy wisdom and guidance |

If every kid had As and Bs then when they got older, there wouldn't be enough jobs. There has to be kids that get bad grades so that everyone can have a job. Haha! |

I think that everyone should do thier best at everything, life is not easy and you cant just sit back and let is slide by, you have to try, and try hard to get what you want these days, and school is a good start, not everyone is going to get a's and b's because not everyone is book smart! some people are smarter when it comes to other things... my dad never made it through 6th grade, not because hes dumb thats for sure... he has been self employed for 50 some years now and is an extremly sucessful man... I dont believe that school decides your future like they make it out to be, but I do with no dought think it helps mature your mind and body, and is very well needed! |

Reality says that not all children will be A and B students. A parent can hope that their child is up there but the truth is that no chld can make it unless the parents participate. tftp |

I think that every student in school should have an opportunity to learn material in a way that will help them become a responsible adult citizen of a rapidly changing world.
I got good grades growing up, but sometimes getting a C was a good thing - because I went back and learned what I did not know.
When you get a C, do you go back or ask the teacher to help you understand what you missed? Give it a try - I can't prove it to you now - but when you're older you'll be amazed at what you remember. |

I think that kids should do the best that they can. Forcing a child to get straight A's doesn't benefit anyone. In my opinion it only leads people to feel bad about themselves when they don't succeed.
Of course, if you're not trying at all and getting C's you might want to but in a tad more effort. There's nothing wrong with getting all B's. |

No, there's plenty of historically famous scientists or artists that had a hard time with their studies while bieng teenagers.
It may means that the educational system does not fit to them.
And even if you think that it refers to intelligence (which I don't think, but... just to argue) there are other things in life more important than intelligence. So to answer your question: No! |

as long as your not failing is good enough for me. you should set your parents straight. all a+'s is extremely hard to get even for the best students. your parents should be happy for your level of intelligence. its not your problem if your not the smartest kid ever. tell them its their fault for not being smart. its genetic. |

No but they shoudln't have a grade lower than C.
I mostly got all B's with some A's and C's (well mostly A's) thrown in and went on and got a collage degree and have a nice life. |

Everyone does not have the same talents or abilities. Giving everyone high grades is a distortion of reality. Parents should encourage their children to do their best and help them discover their talents.
Many people who had bad grades in school went on to be successful in their endeavors. School grades are just a measurement of particular skills. They are not necessarily a predictor of future accomplishments. Grades don't necessarily reflect interest, potential, determination, inner motive, etc. A person may get a bad grade because they are bored or are interested in something else.
School should be about preparing people for life not about grades. A person should find out what he is good at or interested in and pursue that. |

if he does ,that can only mean he has no real interest in learning .I am a teacher(in Romania) and I don't really appreciate kids with straight a's.I think they have no passion.Children with passion can go the distance but the others usually don't even go to a good college. |

I think that every kid should aspire to have A's and B's rewards usually work and as parents we should always set the example to try the best at whatever we do. |

No. I could encourage it, but not make it an issue. Remember Einstein had c's, d's and f's. |

I do no think that a child who gets some C's is stupid or a bad student. Of course everyone wants their child for get the best grades but some children have a harder time learning and taking tests than other kids. |
