Check into local law. There may be some regulation against maintaining a dirty and run-down appearing property. If so, they really need to use your services. |

Of course it is a good idea. Nothing happens in our economy until someone sells someone a service, product or idea.
If that is your service then it is up to you to market the product.
I think you 'll go far in the industry if you aggressively pursue potential clients. The telephone is a vital tool in marketing but brush up on your skills. Sometimes the phone is only used to establish who the "buyer" is and an "eyeball to eyeball" appointment is necessary to "seal the deal."
Good Luck.
Peace. |

The idea is good, but not new. When I was on holiday in Belgium in 1990, I witnessed the Belgians pressure washing their statues, buildings, and other landmarks. Would it work in other parts of the world?
Only one way to find out...try it. I think a small biz loan would be able to get you on your way, Mr. Trump! Good Luck! |

I think it is a good idea as long as you get paid. I'd approach the letting agent rather than the owner as you'd probably get more regular business if you do a good job |

Here is your best bet...
1. Send them an introductory letter. Learn as much about the company as you can, how many properties they have... etc. In your letter, introduce yourself and any services you have to offer. Do not discuss price in the letter.
2. Follow up the letter after a week or so. Call them. Ask if they have had a chance to look over the mail you sent them. Reiterate how your services will help them sell or lease the properties and will also make them a winner in their corporate neighborhood. be very adamant about setting up an appointment so you can speak with them face-to-face. Be as brief as you can, but don't be abrupt.
3. At the appointment, dress appropriately. If you have a company and logo get some polo shirts printed up with the logo. This lends credibility to the company. If not, wear clean, casual clothes. Not Jeans and a T shirt. You want to look professional, not like some Joe with a powerwasher in his garage. Be likeable. More than 60 percent of all sales are closed simply because the buyers like the salepeople.
Don't take too much of their time, be quick and tell them you understand how very busy they are so you will be out of their hair quickly. Sell your services. Tell them what benefits they will gain from a mutual relationship. Offer them a substantial discount if they have multiple properties. |
