Yes after you accept Jesus into your heart you should definitely be baptized. Its a public profession of faith and you are basically promising Jesus and your church (or whoever you are doing it in front of)that you will walk in his name for the rest of your life. But do not do this lightly. If you are not serious don't jump into it. |

what do you mean by shold be baptized. i can't amswer you categorically. perhaps spelling is wrong. but baptize in Jesus name is a key to me. baptism is just a an outward showing of receiving Jesus. the right way, which a followed, is a) repentance of sin and asking for forgiveness, b) believing that Jesus is my only Savior, the only Way, the only Truth, and the only Life, c) be baptize in the name of the Holy Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, d) receiving of the Holy Spirit's gift |

I think it is an important ritual but not a deal breaker. |

Absolutely. Both baptism and prayer in Jesus' name are biblical. |

I was but then I did not have a say.....I did not baptise my kids because frankly nobody has been able to convince me about their beliefs......I listen and ponder and make up my own mind. |

Being an agnostic, I would say, no. I would rather strive to be my own Christ than to follow another one. |

yes definitely, I need him in my life as my savior. I try to lead a normal good life, but everyone still need him. |

You should be baptized for the public expression of showing that you are reborn in Jesus. |

Evil is real. We all can see it in some forms. So why doubt the good? Baptism is actually a form of exorcism according to the Catholic Catechism. The water (a sense perceptible sign) while symbolizing washing (away of evil) also infuses Goodness onto the recipient. |

the Bible is very specific about this issue...yes...it is a necessity...and was commanded by God through Peter in Acts 2:38. Baptism, however, should not be done in order to join a church. Baptism is how the blood of Jesus is applied to our lives and covers our sins. |
