Do you trust shopping on ebay? Why or why not?

I only buy thru paypal this way if something goes wrong it's in the customer's favor and paypal will refund your money

Wes
You still have to be careful, but it's getting more legitimate with things like Paypal, where you can at least track who is getting paid.

Yes, I love Ebay. I have bought a ton of stuff off of Ebay and never had one problem with security.

browneyedmaiden
It depends on the seller. There are good ones, but then again, there are just as many crooks. I used to use e-bay, however, when I was double charged for an item, the seller didn't want to fix it. I wound up stopping payment on both charges! I'd rather do my business elsewhere.

I've been using Amazon.com. True, there are good and bad sellers there too, however, I check out the seller before I commit to buying from them. You just have to be careful!

NO too much fraud

Yes, I buy and sell on eBay. I do mostly selling and can assure you that it is safe. All you have to do is check feedback for the seller and if it is bad, avoid them. You can check my feedback at http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=onlinesellingsource

Personally, I don't. I have a real problem with the thought of putting my credit card numbers on my computer. I know several people who buy from e-bay all the time and none of them has ever had a problem, they love it. So I guess I'm just paranoid!

Pits4Me
Yes I have a paypal account however. Paypal makes buying online secure, plus if you do get ripped off you can get your money back through paypal.

No, my bf got me a tiffany necklace (claimed to be authentic) that turned out to be a fake.

I do trust, but not every seller.

First I review the seller's ratings and experience.

I don't buy from a seller less than 95 percent rating and number of ratings/reviews of less than 1000.

I also don't purchase if address or email of seller is not specified.

Do research about the product online, so that you know about the quality of the product.

I have purchased with no problems for over 5 years and never had trouble. I have purchased books, wedding items, crafts, and even a digital camera.

Conan the Librarian
Absolutely!

Just make sure that whoever you buy from has an excellent feedback record (I choose 98% +) and has been a member for more than 3 months.

As long as you verify they are trustworthy, you can't go wrong!

Linda
You never know what you may get,I bought a lots of christmas stuff on ebay so it isn't all that bad

I shop on ebay and I use paypal to pay for purchases Always remember buyer be where check their ratings if they only have a few points i wont risk it and if it sounds to good to be true it may be.

JeffyB
I have bought & sold alot of stuff on eBay, and only had one problem once (which the seller eventually resolved). But, you should be smart about it. For example, only buy form reputable sellers (who have good feedback), and if a deal sounds too good to be true...it is!

Shopping on Ebay is usually safe. You have to be careful with your credit card. You should also check out what you are going to purchase by looking at the pictures.

Yes, to an extent. I make sure everyone I deal with has been on eBay for at least six months and has a good feedback record. Also, I am extremely suspicious if I see a deal that is "too good to be true".

miketbone20
It's normally really cool. You can see right through some of the scams though. Just being carefull not to get into something that is to good to be trure, it always is too good if you see it on eBay.

Somewhat, only if the seller will let you return a broken item. A good alternative is Half.com. It's an e bay affiliate, and I order tons of stuff from them, and I trust half.com fully. I've never had a huge problem with them. A huge plus is that you don't have to bid, the prices are already set, and they are low!!!

wilsonboncu
No, not now at least...

They still have works with bugs, I can tell many cheaters using Ebay now... but, later... maybe it can get better

You can trust E-Bay..It's Yahoo Auctions you can't trust.. E-Bay has a lot of protection available for Buyers and sellers..Yahoo has none.
