I DO!
What is "Operation I Do!".
"Operation I Do!" was an expression of gratitude in the form of 2 Weddings for members of the US Armed Forces who were forward deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and/or Operation: Enduring Freedom.
Members of the military or their fiancé/fiancée were invited to enter "Operation I Do!" for an opportunity to receive a wedding in the San Diego area for up to 100 attendees including the wedding party.
The organizers believe that the foundation of American Life is the traditional family and that the military is the global protector of that family.
The closest civilian parallel to the commitment of the US Military is the traditional American Family. The most publicly understood display of this commitment is that of a Wedding.
"Operation I Do!" is a "Thank You" to the American Military from businesses in the San Diego area which provide wedding services. |

There are many, including me.
I consider that practice to be unnecessary. If I need to research a question, I will respond with the essential information and include the link I used so the asker can read more if they wish.
Those that think that just pasting a Wikipedia definition is an answer likely won't last long here. |

Yes, but then it's usually just someone's opinion, not many facts. The ones that just cut & paste are someone else's facts and not personal experience though.
I like answers that put their experience down AND something to support it. If I wanted just something from an online search engine, I could get that myself! |

Many people take both the time and energy to give very intelligent, well thought out answers. |

Actually, I didn't know you COULD do that on this site. So, I guess I've never done it here. Besides, even if it's the same question, I treat all questions differently because each person is different. I try to match my answer to how the question is asked, and with the askers profile. Some questions are sincere. Some are just smart alec's who want to get a rise out of someone. See, YOU just got a custom made answer, just to fit your particular situation. <*)))>< |

Only if they're articulate enough to express themselves. Or intelligent enough to have an original idea or thought. And the skills necessary to relay those thoughts on the page.
So you can see you're drawing on quite a small pool. |

If I know a detailed answer to a question off the top of my head I will answer it. Otherwise I like to provide as much information as possible and links to online resources for even more info. If the questions getting answered then what difference does it make? |

That's pretty pathetic. I've never done that. I try to give the best answer to a question with the knowledge I have about a particular subject. |

Yes. I've only copied/pasted a total of 1 answer out of every question I've answered so far (and I even cited where that one came from). |

Sure. Often in fact, but sometimes the best answer comes from another website or from someone else's mouth. |

Most of the time, my answer is original. Occasionally I do
cut and paste. I do cut and paste the bible in my answers.
1 Peter 3:15 15 "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:" |

I do. But I don't answer questions I don't know the answer to that I have to go research it. I say research it yourself! |

I've never copied and pasted anything either. I figure if I don't know it already, then why waste my time looking it up? |

I think that the most intelligent and thought out answers should be from the person, not another site. HOWEVER, if copya and pasting a small sentence or two to give more insight, definition, etc does also add to the quality of the answer the person gives. |

I think it would depend on the question. Questions that get repeated are going to get cut & paste answers. |
