It is mostly very shallow, so therefore a bit of a waste of time. But like a lot of of things with computers, it can also be addictive.
Every so often, a serious question or answer makes it worthwhile. And I also feel that certain silent kinship with certain people whose questions and /or answers make me think they are quite a nice person.
(Is that a good answer?) |

It is sometimes hard to remember that for every person with an IQ of 140 there must be one with an IQ of 60. The range in intelligence is very wide, and peoples' interests vary.
For all of the potential that this format has, it is a shame to see the resources apparently wasted on a people who would do as well asking their questions to a "Magic 8 Ball."

Yes, I think I'm developing the "Yahoo! Answers Syndrome" : FUCQ(BARE-***) : Failure to Understand Complicated Questions(But Always Ready to Express Amazingly Stupid Sentiments) |

Sometimes, it feels bad to have a legitimate question and hope for a legitimate answer just to find that the community will come up with stupid answers. . It must have something to do with the points system and leaderboard, people answer to feel they advance in a strange competitive way.
Also most of us feel that our answers will be read and pondered, thus there is a feeling of frustration when instead of an answer you get an off beat remark.
Maybe it just comes with the medium |

Actually, yes I do. I'm suprised some people know how to turn on their computer and find their way here. Yes, I'm sarcastic and mean spirited but come on. It frightens me to think so much ignorance is abound. However, curiousity and sheer boredom keeps coming back. |

the most important thing that makes me thinking of answering you is saying you that you are a good person because you want to share their problem and that's by proposing them solutions. |
