I file my taxes online right from the IRS site. Doesn't cost me anything and the money is in my bank within a week. |

36% APR (roughly 3% a month until the IRS pays off the loan) of amount borrowed is the fee for the loan when loaded onto the card plus a bank account fee of about $30. Tax preparation is additional. |

I heard they weren't offering it anymore and with the known delays in the tax processing cycle this year, you'll have to wait longer - IRS is redoing some tax forms, so everyones refunds will be delayed. It's insane to pay that much of your refund, when it only takes 2 weeks to get the refund |

Per NY Times, the interest rate charge is about "several hundred percent and in some cases reach 2,000 percent."

Unless you absolutely need the money on the day of your appointment, don't do it. It's a huge ripoff |

Rapid refund depends on your refund---I usually pay 185-200 dollars for my refund. ---Sucks but I never have problems with the IRS. I have gone to H & R Block since I was 16yrs old and they have always done a great job, and they always make sure to get me as big a refund as possible. Many people may think they are a rip off, but I acctually think they do a great job. I guess you have to pay a little more for better service, and I am not about to mess with the IRS.---just found out that No One can file until 1/11th---and yes H & R block does not do Rapid refund, what they call it is the Emerald Card---You get it quickly and its a Loan from HSBC---and You can use this card with the VISA logo on it. |

I 'll tell you its Darn sure more than$100.00. and the way they get you is #1. They take it out of your refund check so there's no up front paying, #2. you are so excited about getting the large amount of money and are no doubt in need of it so you don't care. #3. You pick up your check for H&R block in a couple or hours, take it to the bank or Credit Union and guess what they put a hold on your INCOME TAX check until it is cleared. So basically Nothing is rapid is it??? |

I used irs.gov... they give a bunch of websites to use if your income is somewhere around $60,000 or under. I used something similar to turbo tax (it had a guarantee that the filing was accurate or they pay the IRS penalties). I got my refund of about $1,800 deposited in about a week. |

A FORTUNE!!!! Wait for the check |

You need to learn patience. They are preying on your inability to wait for the money you are owed. Their cut will be based on a percentage of what you stand to gain. File a 1040 or a 1040 EZ form and wait a few weeks. It'll be worth the wait. When are you going to stop letting Big Business pick your pockets? View Big Business as Britain in Colonial America and realize we need a second Boston Tea Party. Fight against all the advertising that tells you how much you need and decide what you really need. Start the new revolution by deciding to stop spending foolishly. |

It's based on your refund and like amillion other things. Dont do it. It's not worth it. And if you are already filing, it wont be long til you get your check. |

I had about a 1200 return and they were going to charge me 120, 10%, but I also filed as a student so I am not sure if that will make a difference |

I don't know specifically, but I do know that the cost equates to a very high interest rate, considering they are loaning you money for only a matter of days or weeks. If there's any way you can afford to wait for your refund, you'd be much better off. If you file electronically and have your refund automatically credited to your checking or savings account, you'll get it pretty quickly. |
