Yahoo auctions, Ebay, Craiglist. All of these are reputable places on the internet for selling items, old, new, antique, etc.

i would go to an antique dealer and get an estimate on the value. if it's not to your satifaction, then you could always go to a local auction house and hope for the best.
njyecats

I've sold a lot of dishes and china on e-bay with success. But generally it is difficult to sell a whole set as opposed to dividing the set up and selling individual pieces. Before you list your dishes you can check under "completed auctions" to see how much that particular brand and pattern sold for. If you see that they did not sell well on e-bay but choose to list them anyway, you risk selling them for a lower price than you would prefer (unless you put a reserve on your auction, but people are less likely to bid if there is a reserve, as they do not know what the reserve is, they just know that there is one.) I hope that is clear- sorry if there is too much e-bay jargon! (you can e-mail me if you have a question)
