Fourth quarter of which calendar?/ If you are asking about the business calender, yes. If you are talking about the Federal budget's fiscal year, their 4th quarter ends on Sept. 30. There are a lot of states and companies that use a fiscal year ending on June 30 as well. |

It depends. Some businesses operate on a calendar year--in this case yes, 12/31 is the end of the 4th quarter. Some businesses, hower operate on a Fiscal year. If that is the case it all depends on when the business begins their fiscal year--the end of the 4th quarter would be the last day of the fiscal year. |

depends on the definition of your company of a financial year .. could be calendar year, in which case, from Jan1 to Dec31. Some companies apply what they call a fiscal year. this fiscal year may have a variable start and end time, eg a fiscal year may compose of 52 weeks only. |
