Yes!!! Definitely a scam. They'll send you a fake check, and you'll get cash from it and give it to them, but then the check will come back and you'll have to pay the bank back. |

Sounds like the same stuff I got from Craig's List when I listed items over five hundred dollars. I simply tell them to show up at my door with the cash and we can do business. |

Never mind the exact wording of that, if it "feels wrong" to you, it probably is. Trust your intuition. |

This is a scam. My son was fooled by one very similar. Lost $2000.00 & can be a way to collect info for identity theft. |

yes your bank will cash it you lose the item then when the bank discovers its fake your responsible for paying it back.....happens all the time on craigslist....i would only do face to face transactions on craigslist |

Yes, when dealing with ANYTHING on craigslist, ALWAYS pay, or recieve CASH ONLY.
It even says so right on the site. |

Yeah, it's an old classic scam. Craigslist should have spotted it and taken it down. If it's still there, notify Craigslist. |

This sounds like a classic scam. I would say look on Ebay for the same item and pay through paypal since then can insure you the money if you have been scammed.
It may be legit, but just sounds fishy. |

Absolutely 100% a total scam. Never accept a check from a non -reputable source. Your bank will let you "cash" it, but in 10 business days when the bank finds out it's a bogus check you're responsible for the money -including the money you just sent to the "mover" who is really the person "selling" you this item that DOESN'T EXIST.
Don't do it! |
