No, I don't think so, but I doubt it would make any difference if it was. :( |

Absolutely! It needs to be regulated though. |

Yes, I believe marujuana and other types of recreational "soft" drugs should be legalized, since it has been proven that marijuana is less harmful to the body than tobacco, for example.
Also, legalization would destroy the profits of the drug cartels, greatly reducing prices, and will make marijuana even safer, since, under government regulation, it can be ensured that the marijuana sold is "pure", with none of the harmful additives that drug traffiquers often add to it to be able to smuggle it.
That being said, I do believe that the government should discourage all drug use (alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, etc.) by making public campaigns of education and concientization, teaching people of their harmful effects, but it should not ban drugs.
So...less prohibition and more education, I say. |

Yes. It wouldn't really change the amount of people that do it and the government would make money off of it. |

Yes, but for medical uses. I don't believe in it for anyone without illness, especially when people who use it come out spelling like you.
I live in Vancouver - and it's basically already legal here. People just don't care. But it's disgusting to walk down Granville and have a huge puff of it in your face.
I'm also in favour of absolutely no public smoking of anything, though, so maybe I'm just a prude, eh? ;D

Ask this question again when you've had the unfortunate experience of dealing with a loved one with severe drug addiction. It puts a totally different perspective on things. As for my answer, no, I do not think it should be legalized in the society. |

Yeah if we can kill ourselves with alcohol and cigarettes, why not let us get stoned out of minds and die a slower death by killing all our brain cells. |

I think we should regulate it the way we regulate alcoholic beverages, it certainly won't kill as many people as booze does. The sad part is what it does to people physically; most chronic pothead guys grow ugly looking, flabby boobs as it reduces testosterone production & the downside with women is that their boobs become quite flabbier (like half filled water balloons), which ain't too flattering. |

Yes everything should be legal, including farting in public. Every other drug (white wealthy owners) is legal. Why shouldn't weed be? |

Are you kidding? As I'm typing I can inhale my neighbor's pot stench and it's a b*tch on my lungs. I can't live with like everyone having this crap. How will I survive if my lungs turn as black as night because of this second hand smoking?
Take a look in a regular person's perspective. |

yeah, so much man power, and money and resources are wasted prosecuting and punishing "offenders" While sexual predators are put on a waiting and get off lightly, probation, or classes in some cases. People from the 70's are still jailed for less than ounces in some cases because the WAR on drugs. Government needs to prioritize the way that this system is controlled. Rapists are much worse than a smoker. |

Yes. But it will never be because people know how to grow it themselves. The government will not make much money off of it. Dickeheads. |

Yes, it should be legalized, it's EXACTLY the same as smoking, just gets you high, then we can put a smoking ban on all public buildings... |

Yes it should be you choice if you want to use what god put here for you. its not processed its natural. Ive met and seen a lot, and i mean a lot of people who smoke mary jane and the results are they seem to be relaxed, and more likely to be happy. alcohol is legal and makes most people turn into mean over confident jerk offs. so why the hell shouldn't it be. and also i would rather smoke and drive than drink and drive. |

I am not a proponent of drug abuse, but I think marijuana should be legalized to take away the criminal element part of it. Just like ending Prohibition in the 30's, if pot were legal, the ones who use it will continue to use it, those who don't probably still won't and we will free up the justice system to look after prosecuting "real" criminals. |
|

kris10_lyke_woah

yes. if it became legal then we would have no need for drug dealers. and crime would go down. the only thing is they should regulate it and have age limits like smoking and drinking. |
