you have to realize that someone else could possibly put in an outrageous bid as well.. lets say u bid 1000 dollars. of course u dont want to pay that, and its probably REALLY not worth it either lol. but another person comes in and bids 200 or 300 dollars. you'll be obligated technically to pay that, or your account will suffer negative repercussions. if you want to pay up to 50 dollars, then my suggestion to you would be to figure your maximum amount (in your case 50) and add no more than 10 or 15 dollars to it.. so a bid of 60-65 dollars maximum would guarantee that you don't significantly overpay, but you won't be beaten by someone else for just .75 cents. Of course, make sure you really WANT the item before you shell out 60 bucks for it, hehe. :o) Good luck! |

Only bid what you are willing to pay because in the event it goes higher than you're comfortable with, you still have to pay if you are the high bidder. You are entering into a contract to buy - it's important to understand that. |

with bidding auctions always set yrself a limit and a realistic one that u feel is within yr budget even thou u really want the item u can never guarentee how many others are interested as well!!! is this item really worth putting a max of 1000 on how do u know that the buyer mite not up the bid them self to try and gain more money its been known!!! u were rite to only bid 50 and if it goes for more u have to let go im sure the item is not 1 in a million im sure other sellers will have the item on ebay |

I would not put in a wildly high bid. I would wait till the end of bidding and grab it in the last 15 seconds of bidding. |

You can try and snipe it or just bid around $10 more than you are actually willing to pay. Sometimes those outrageous bids work because people give up when they keep getting outbid notices! However, make sure that it won't actually go up to your outrageous bid or you're stuck paying that amount. Only you can know where a "safe outrageous bid" amount is. Good luck! |

yes.. but if the item gets up to like $200 you must pay! You will win, only if nobody outbids $1000... which is very unlikely!!! =) So you will win, yes... but you will also have to pay more than you want im sure! |

The best thing is to bid the MAX amount your gonna want to pay for it |

Yeah you could win but if someone bids 120.00 for the item you might get ripped off. I wouldnt do that. Its dumb. |

DO NOT ENTER MORE THAN YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE BIDDING...
That being said you can usually snipe a good deal. Last minute enter your MAX. If someone else wants it more, at least you don't have to feel bad about overspending |

I think to be safe bid myabe $10.00 more then you want to pay, just be safe, you never know, some of these sellers could have friends bidding to raise the price. Don't bid more than it's actually worth, shop around. |

Worst case scenario: Someone actually raises your bid all the way to $1000 and you have to pay it. DON'T DO IT!!! |
