Yes, you are obligated. When you selected Buy It Now it clearly explained that you are making a commitment to pay for the item on the confirmation page. You might contact the seller and ask for an out, but since it cost the seller EBay fees to to list and sell the item they probably would at least require you to cover those costs. Based on the price of the item that fee could be substantial, and you would be "stealing" that from the seller. It will also get you a red slash and feedback on your EBay account, possibly preventing other sellers from allowing you to bid or purchase other items. |

It is obligatory but you always can email the seller and tell them that you clicked a wrong key or it was your 3 years old or a cat jumped on the keyboard |

Uh.... I believe you are obligated to pay for it... it does ask you to CONFIRM before you hit the final page. I think you may have an extremely short grace period to get out of it. Check the terms and stuff on ebay. You may also want to communicate with the seller AFTER you read what your options are from ebay.com
It won't effect your credit score but it WILL most likely effect your ebay score. |

if you just clicked " buy now" and didn't go to the next screen and click "confirm buy now", the system kicked you out and you didn't buy anything. if you did click "confirm.." then you are stuck with it. if you don't fulfill the obligation, ebay can suspend your account |

You cant just decide you dont want it anymore.
After you clicked buy it now it said "ARE YOU SURE"
You should have clicked cancel then....just pay for it. |

i sell on Ebay for almost 4 years now. i have almost 3000 points and i am a power seller.
Yes, you can change your mind.
The proper way to do it is to notify the seller why you changed your mind and let them know that you will pay relisting fees. Depending on how expensive that item was relisting fees could be 4.00 to 8.00. The seller may be nice about it and the seller might be a real a** about it. you take a chance. but as long as you offer the relisting fees theres nothing the seller can do about it. Seller will refund your money and take out that amount when the refund is done.
Now, from all this, sometimes if the seller is a real a** you could get a negative feedback. Just make sure you send a negative right back if you do get one. if that happens just make him retract his negative feedback and you will retract yours. its a little blackmail involved but it works sometimes.
your feedback is oh so important to keep good and you dont want this ruining it.
Here is one of my item numbers if you want to check out my items 120220991443

You bid, you own it. Now you have to pay for it.
its stated right in the agreement that a bid is a binding contractual agreement you WILL purchase the items you bid on. |

you have to pay..if you r not sure you want something you don't bid or use the buy now option that's what buy now means ..i want to buy now! Now they can't send you to jail or anything like that & it doesn't go against your credit rating...it just goes against your e-bay rating...if you do that a lot no one will let you bid on their items, then if you do it a whole whole bunch e-bay can kick you off & not let you shop any more. You could also e-mail the seller & tell them you didn't really want it & ask them to let you out of the deal, you may get lucky & they will let you out of it, in that case it will not go against you in a bad way....you won't know until you try...Good luck! |

You don't win an item using Buy Now...you're buying it outright which ends the bidding process! Yes, you have to pay for it.
If you've never sold anything on eBay before let's use this. You're now the seller. The item has been up for bid for a couple of days or more. A buyer clicks Buy Now which ends the bidding. The buyer doesn't pay for the item and all the other bidders now go to bid on another item from someone else. You've lost your customer base and precious time from the bidding. Because of this one guy...you have to re-list, which costs you more money to do. You raise the price to make up the cost. The item sits and doesn't sell!
Think about it! |

If you allready paid for the item you have entered into a contract with the seller. You can tell the seller you made a mistake but its up to them whether they will release you from the contract. Best just accept the article and then resell it on Ebay when you get it. |
