I've just sold something on ebay for the first time and I need help. Basically the buyer has paid me via paypal but do I have to send them an invoice or receipt with the item or via email? (when I've bought things in the past the seller has slipped a printed invoice in the parcel). If so, where can I print one from ebay or will ebay automatically send them one? Or is it not necessary? I thought it was easy! Also should I leave the buyer feedback now or when they've left me feedback? Any advice would be great thanks. |

You don't have to send an invoice or receipt but it's up to you. On paypal if you look at the payment details there is usually a link to print out a packing slip or receipt. I usually find just a quick email saying thanks for your payment, you item has been packed and will be sent on monday (or whatever day you intend sending it out). I also tend to leave feedback at the time I pack the item up that way it's done. Drop me a line if you need any other help or advice. |

You don't need to send an invoice.
When they won the auction, Ebay should have sent them one automatically by email is they hadn't already paid.
Theres no need for you tosend one when they can print it out for themselves.
The feedback option is really personal preference.
I tend to leave feedback as soon as I receive my payment, as I feel the buyer has upheld their end of the agreement by that point.
I also feel it shows your buyer a trusting hand.
But having said that, you'll find that opinions tend to differ widely on the feedback subject. |

Check your paypal account.... If you have received payment from buyer then ship it to them. At the post office always get delivery confirmation, it is really cheap. Now send the buyer an email saying you have shipped their item and include the delivery conformation number in the email so your buyer can track their purchase. Once you see that the buyer has their package and has not any any problems , then leave positive feedback. |

When you go into PayPal, it will give you an option for "Print Shipping Label" next to the item. While you print out the shipping label (the buyer's info will be stored in there) there will be an option to print an invoice. It's always to send an invoice. It looks much more professional. I usually leave feedback right away if they have paid quickly and the funds have cleared. This will encourage them to leave nice feedback about you. |

Don't worry just send a e-mail thanking them and post the product. Only shops really send invoice's and thats for there records it's not to complicated selling bits and pieces! |

I would say
(1) They can get receipts from Paypal direct; from you they would normally just get a delivery note, if you were a company. That's all. Sending invoices for a paid-for item just confuses accountants; people shouldn't do it.
(2) Let the buyer leave feedback first - that's fairly normal. You can even email them when the goods ship and say "I've posted it today first class recorded (or whatever), hope you get it soon, please leave feedback and I will do the same!".
(3) The single most common plus in feedback comments is SPEED of delivery. Post it now and post it properly; pack well and use "signed for" or similar. |

If they've paid, don't bother with the invoice. What your buyer wants to see are the goods.
If the buyer has paid promptly, leave some feedback to say thanks. If they subsequently leave bad feedback about you, you will get a chance to comment on it. |

I have bought tons of stuff off ebay, and not always received an invoice. When I have sold i just print off the e-mail and include it in the parcel. |

You don't need to send a receipt,just send the item.You are supposed to leave feedback on receipt of p/ment,but a lot of sellers wait to see if they get a good f/back before leaving one,It's a form of blackmail,because a buyer would be reluctant to leave a bad f/back in case the seller retaliates with an unjustified negative. |

No, you don't need to send an invoice or reciept.
If the buyer paid promptly, do it now, if not, wait for the funds to clear.
