Ebay shipping seller to buyer?

lets say i have to send one item back to replace it is it my responsibility as a buyer to pay for the shipping or is it the seller?

It depends on the details of the auction! Anytime you decide to buy something on eBay be sure to read the entire auction from start to finish. It should give details about shipping. If not then it is your responsibility to cover it. Some do not even allow returns which is why it is important to ask questions before you commit to buy. If it doesn't say anything in the auction it is up to the seller whether or not he/she wants to make you pay for shipping which in most cases is going to happen. Next time be a little more careful before buying and be sure you know the details of the auction. Good luck and learn from this so next time you have no problems!

P.S. Check each listing over very carefully because there are a lot of fake items going around on eBay and sellers often get away with it because of the general wording used in the listings!

Depends on the original listing but usually the buyer has to ship it back if there is a defect. it sucks but at least you get to return it.

Check the auction and see if the seller has a policy. If not its really up to how nice the seller is going to be about it. If you complain, perhaps they will pay for it.

Yeah, It depends on the auction. It will you say if they take returns or not, go back and look. Sometimes If it doesnt just ask the seller and make a deal with them. I know if I sell something to someone and they want to return it I would make them pay unless there was something wrong with it or unless i told them something different from what they recieved. Just contact the seller and he/she can usually work something out..

read their return policy, they should say in their. if it says nothing, then email them with this same question. it all depends on the seller, on ebay every seller makes up their own return policy.

It is your responsibility. Depending on the reason for the return the seller could be nice and refund you your shipping as well. Under PayPal rules, your shipping cost to the seller isn't a refundable fee. So it is up to the seller and the reason for the return and if they want to go the extra mile for you.

It is your responsibility....sorry I know that's probably not what you want to hear.

But.....even if you file a Paypal claim (if you paid through Paypal like most ebayers do)....Paypal will make YOU pay to ship the item back.

Just be lucky they are letting you send the item back.....most sellers would say no.
