an outlet mall would be a great place to shop for items. you can pick them up cheap and when you place them on Ebay you can put the minimum bid just under what you paid for the items and end up making double or triple of what you sell them for. also, if you get into selling clothing, you can make a ton of money if you leave the store tags on the clothes. people tend to buy brand new if it is offered just make sure that you list clothing items with tags as (NWT--new with tags). named brand clothes from an outlet mall will cost you pennies and you could wind up making hundreds. |

As for items to sell, you can:
1. Buy bulk liquidation items such as those at Liquidation.com. The capitalization may be big, but the idea is to sell the items individually and profit from it.
2. Ebay Lots. Ebay has a wholesale section where you can buy in lots. Again, the idea is to buy in bulk and then sell them piece by piece.
3. Find manufacturers of items you want to sell and buy discounted items from them
4. Make deals with retailers in your area, and offer to buy their unwanted items for deep discounts. jayandmarie - the most successful ebay sellers - made deals with music stores where they will buy the entire inventory in the discounted bins, and then sold the items on ebay for 1-cent starting bid.
5. Look for possible partners on the Web, preferably outside of the US. Import items from them and sell them on ebay. There's huge profits to gain from this approach. |

Take a look at www.i-soldit.com and how they work.
The most money is earned on high priced items. So you should be looking at Overstock.com and other places. But you might want to sell collectibles too. Try selling Concert tickets (if it is near you).
The smart move is to work as an eBay drop-off. Charge your customer a Posting fee, so you make a little bit of money for taking the picture. If it sells, charge as much as 35%. Accept items that will sell for $100 or more, so it is worth your while.
You see, you will make some money, even if it doesn't sell. |

I've work for eBay and I really had a high hopes to earn a profit but it was not as easy as what i thought. Eventually I give up!
