Twinky | FRAUD on Yahoo answers? |
People, don't go sending your personal information to COLLINS G. He's going around the financial part of yahoo Answers and posting/advertising his ability to help others take out a loan. This is completely untrue, don't go sending your personal information out to him! It's a scam.
I know this isn't a question, but he's been going around posting his little scam everywhere. There are people on here that just might not know better. Additional Details I do apoligies if any of you are offended my this message. |

( He is requesting personal information fraudulently claiming he can help get loans for people )
To answer your question : NO, I have NOT nor will NOT give my personal information to anyone on Yahoo or anywhere else on the internet.
Thank you for making everyone aware of this fraudulent schemes.
NOTE : Great Question, Thanks for asking ! |

Why would anyone in this day and age send their personal information to others online? I hope you reported him. |

Do not apologize for posting this message. You are right. This person is trying to commit identity theft.
This is some type of new scam that is going around. That is good that you want to warn people about it. Keep at it. Not enough people do this. |

I see at least a dozen on every day.
Either they claim to give personal loans, send you to scam websites to make money from home or want to "help" you in some way.
They are easy to spot as they answer every question with the same reply (cut and paste) they usually have been members for a day or 2 at the most, and they dont allow IM or messages.
Someone reports them, they get removed, and are back within hours or minutes under another name. |

it's good that you're warning people. Let's just hope no one will report your question. Some people's been reporting questions just to earn the extra points |

Spamalot -- that what has happened to the world
Any time one of the major companies wants your personal information, they have it from when you first registered. They will NEVER ask you to send it in email.
If you get a message from yahoo, eBay, pay pal, etc. look at the full headers -- on yahoo mail beneath the message will appear on the right side of your screen. Turn on full headers.
Save Message Text | Full Headers
You can look through the IP addresses and you will find out that it is a fraud. Send it to spoof@each company.com
Don't fall for it. Many of these companies that tell you that you have won a $500.00 at Target just by filling out the survey -- well I joined Colombia House on that one and something else as well. I the wrote to them and told them about the survey, which they knew nothing about.
If it says you'll win a laptop or whatever -- you can try, but set up another account (yahoo upgraded accounts allow multiples of these) and delete it when you get inundated with requests.
Marketing research firms have convinced the senate and congress that "Our having the right to privacy" was 200 years ago, and if you don't register you cell phone you'll get junk mail there too.
I just go a new phone (a year ago now), and the first thing that happened was a text message about a house loan. My phone is listed in the do not call registry, but they did it anyway. Unfortunately, I deleted the message before reporting them. I had texting turned off all phones everywhere.
Be wary. If it sounds too good to be true, it is. |
