I just sold some hankies I got for Xmas for £5 on eBay.
But actually the best way to have made money on those items would have been to take them back to the shop they were bought from and exchange them for things you did like. Like the cashmere lined leather gloves I got in exchange for a too big shirt from M&S. But it's too late for that now... so eBay! |

Hi, I'm a die hard e-bayer so I always recommend them. You should also consider Craig's List (craigslist.com) or your local Green Sheet. You could consider regifting, especially if the items are appropriate for co-workers. A great thing to do at work is to keep the gifts there with a few $0.99 cent gift bags. When someone at work has a buirthday, gets a promotion, or is having a really crappy day, you can pop one in a gift bag and suddenly your Mr. Popular at work. Believe me, even if you're not a suck up you will feel great and it will pay off in dividends when it comes time for increases and those things like Teamwork, Attitude, etc. are being considered. If you don't work then consider the same for friends. Believe me, you'll be a hero. One last word about E-Bay. If you're going to list your items then look and see what similar items have sold for in the past (go to advanced search, then put in the basic item description, and check the box for completed Listings Only). That will tell you the actual price people paid for the items and give you info on how to list it. Also, consider that you will pay a listing fee of about a buck plus a tiny percentage of sales price if it sells. I have a ton of fun with e-bay, get money for stuff I no longer use, and use that money to buy more stuff or pay off credit cards. Good luck! |

You can always have a garage sale and put them as part of the sale or just hawk them off on Ebay...which I did with mine. |

Although E-bay & car boot sales are a good idea, you have to pay commission to these people. Your best bet is Cash Converters, or an Exchange shop, where you can get money for any or all of your unwanted items, with no commission taken off. |
