That is the "spot" price for 24 karat gold. Since gold comes in bricks, ingots and coins, the price you will have to pay to buy it and the price you will receive on selling will vary from that. Generally, for small amounts of gold, you will pay 2-3% above spot to buy gold and can sell it for 2-3% below spot. That 4 to 6% is where the gold money is made, buying low and selling high. |
