it depends on your tolerance of pain if you can take a shot you can take a piercing |

My 8 year old said it didn't hurt that bad, but she often wishes she didn't do it because of the daily work of taking care of the peirceings after you have had them done.
You must clean and disinfect them daily for quite a while after having them done and they get very painful if they get infected.
Be sure your old enough to take good care of them after you get them done. |

If you get it done professionally, it won't hurt much. I had mine done when I was 12. There was a lound BANG! and then my ears turned red!!
There was no pain... but I was very careful to follow the instructions and make sure I bathed my earlobes and kept the area disinfected until it healed. |

are we talking lobes or cartilage?? lobes, usually only at first..unless of course it gets infected!! cartilage takes a little while longer and it may be uncomfortable at first!! just be sure to keep it very clean!!! i have 2 piercings in each of my lobes, labre, and tongue pierced. |

It doesn't hurt much, only for, like, a few seconds. Of course, if you don't take care of your ears like they tell you, it'll hurt a lot. |
